Civil Service Exam October 26, 2014 CSE-PPT Result of Passers

The Civil Service Commission(CSC) released results of October 26, 2014 Civil Service Exam- Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) also known as Career service examination on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. List of passers out of more than 170,000 registered examinees for professional and sub-professional levels are available here as we update this webpage.

CSC announced that passers who got at least 80 percent score will be eligible for the first and second level positions in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions.

Here's the updated alphabetical lists of passers per region for October 2014 CSE-PPT:

Reports said that 86.32% or 146,395 examinees took the Professional Level with the rest taking the Subprofessional level.

The CSC said that in the 52 testing centers nationwide, Region 4 (Southern Luzon) has the biggest number of examinees at 28,548, of registered examinees covering both Professional and SubProfessional levels. The National Capital Region (NCR) came in second with 18,074 examinees; Central Luzon (Region III) with 13,619; Western Visayas (Region 6) with 12,402 and Ilocos Region (Region 1) with 10,003. 


Passers of the the October 2014 CSE-PPT exam must personally claim their Certificates of Eligibility at the CSC Regional Office/Field Office upon presentation of required documents. On the other hand, those who failed the examination may secure a copy of their Report of Rating through the CSC website. No Report of Rating shall be mailed to those who failed. To secure a copy of the Report of Rating, an examinee must key in his/her name, date of birth, examinee number, examination date, and examination type. Thus, examinees are advised to safe keep or remember their examinee number until receipt of the examination result.

The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service. Examinations are conducted every April and October.

There are two levels of CSE-PPT, for the professional and sub-professional. Three-hour test for the professional level includes vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning (English and Filipino). For the latter, exam coverage is almost the same with the inclusion of clerical operations instead of analogy and logic and timed for 2.5 hours.

Questions for both examination levels include general information on the Philippine Constitution, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection.


Probable release date of civil service exam results

The projected release date of October 26, 2014 CSE-PPT based on past examinations is within the second to third week of December or within December 8-19, 2014. Note that results of the CSE-PPT are usually released in forty-five (45) days after the exam.

On April 6, 2014 exam, results became available by third week of May 2014 or 7 weeks after the last day of exam. Meanwhile, results of October 2013 CSE-PPT were released also in less than 2 months from the date of examination.
